Nimbus Logistics — Custom dispatch app on Zoho Creator

Overview:

Nimbus Logistics runs a 400-vehicle last-mile fleet across three Indian states. Dispatchers managed loads on spreadsheets, called drivers individually, and had no centralized view of on-time performance. The brief: build a custom dispatch + driver app on Zoho Creator that integrates with their existing Zoho Books.

Approach:

Helios built a two-app Creator solution: a dispatcher web app with map-based load assignment and a driver mobile app for accept/reject, route navigation, and proof-of-delivery photo capture. Deluge scripts run automated load matching based on vehicle capacity, current location, and route efficiency. Customer notifications go via WhatsApp Business API.

Outcome:

Dispatcher workload halved within 60 days of rollout — the auto-matching algorithm handles 70% of loads without manual intervention. On-time delivery rate climbed from 78% to 92%. Customer support tickets on "where is my order" dropped 65% thanks to WhatsApp tracking updates. Nimbus has since added a customer self-serve portal as a follow-up module.
